Oyen FCSS
Family Community Support Services is located in the hospital court yard, 313 3rd Ave. The program is a provincial-municipal program that enables communities to take part in activities or services that strengthen the family and community.  Funding is provided with 80% provincial and a minimum of 20% municipal support.

FCSS offers 5 types of services:

- To promote social development of children/families.
- To enrich and strengthen family life.
- To help the retired and semi-retired.
- To support volunteer work.
- To inform the public of available services.

Parent/ In Home Support Coordinator
This program offers in-home support to parents.  The program's purpose is to provide support to parents and families who may be experiencing difficulties or a crisis. It also provides increased social and emotional support systems; increased educational opportunities such as parenting skills, budgeting skills, time management skills; and a greater awareness of the different resources and programs that offer help to parents and families.

Oyen Fad Pad
The FAD Pad has been running since June of 1999.  On November15, 1999 the Oyen Youth Centre openend and is located at the St.Peter's Lutheran Church, 214 7th Ave.
The Youth Centre is a place for our youth to get together in a safe, controlled and supervised atmosphere.  
The Youth Centre is open Tuesday from 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. for youth in ages 7-10 and Thursday from 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. for youth in ages 11-15. There usually are some Saturday events planned as well as day trips throughout the year. Contact the Youth Centre or FCSS for more information

Community Worker
The Community Worker is a joint partnership between FCSS, Town of Oyen, and the Southeast Alberta Children's Services Authority. Funding is 100% provided through Southeast Alberta Child and Family Services Authority.

Community Worker will:

- Assist the community in addressing the needs of its members.
- Assist families to become self-reliant and make responsible choices.
- Assist individuals to determine what supports and services are needed.
- Assist in developing integrated service plans that address service entry, assessment, treatment, exit, and follow-up.

 Volunteer Resource Center

The Oyen FCSS Volunteer Resource Center is responsible for the development and delivery of volunteer services in Oyen and surrounding area. Key objectives:

*Promote Volunteerism and raising awareness of the power of service

*Build capacity for effective local volunteerinf through management consulting volunteer programs and training of volunteers and volunteer resources

*Provide leadership and advocacy on issues relating to volunteerism and volunteer programs

*Connect people with opportunities to serve through recruitment and referral of volunteers with community needs
